Selecting Perfect Engagement Rings

By George C.Baycan

It can be a bit overwhelming trying to decide on the perfect two or three different styles of engagement rings for the bride-to-be. From this narrower choice you can then move forward in picking the absolute best that is based on the personal taste and preference of the couple. Since engagement rings are used to show your commitment to each other, getting the right ring is a big decision.

Single, larger or smaller diamonds that stand alone on a band are called solitaire rings and they are one of the most traditional yet style the most in demand types of engagement rings. The main factor to keep in mind is it is not just the size of the diamond that makes these rings look so striking it is really the cut and the clarity as well.

For those that want a square shape rather than a round style, princess cut diamonds offer a dazzling choice. These rings have many different facets or sides within the ring, resulting in lots of fire and color inside the diamond. Engagement rings with princess cut diamonds are a terrific match for many brides-to-be.

Women with smaller fingers and hands are well suited to narrow band types of engagement rings. Selecting a band that matches the diamond in size and appearance is also important. For narrower bands consider a larger central stone in a solitaire or a grouping of smaller diamonds to add beauty without making the ring appear out of balance or heavy.

Other options for making smaller stones look bigger include considering one of the more distinctive cuts. Pear shaped diamonds, marquis cut and emerald cuts are ideal for many types of engagement rings and look larger than the same carat of diamond in a round stone.

Choosing engagement rings goes beyond just selecting a style, it also includes selecting the type of ring design as well as the metal that the ring is made out of. While silver and gold simple band styles are classic and popular there are also interlocking styles that are unique and very striking in appearance. The bands can be made out of many different types of metals including platinum, palladium and titanium.

Matching the band and the diamond will make the perfection combination for any style of engagement rings. To get a hint on what the bride-to-be likes, consider asking her about ring styles or checking the types of rings she currently wears to get an idea.

Remember that not all engagement rings and wedding rings are sold as a set. It is possible to combine different engagement rings with plain or ornate wedding bands to get just the look you want for you life together.

Welcome to the E: Gift-Giving Anew

By James Pynn

Though the economy is no friend of the average citizen these days, there are useful lessons to be learned out there. For instance, less is always more and growing a little organic garden is a great investment. That being said, special occasions and birthdays never stop, even when buying gifts gets more and more expensive. This is where the power of the E Revolution comes in very handy.

Give more by giving a little. Before your head explodes from trying to figure out this little oxymoron, let's talk about e-gifting. Affording bigger and better gifts is a matter of numbers. Everyone can afford that little bit that makes the massive gift possible. This means the more people involved, the better -- after all, it is a matter of numbers.

Giving gifts is not a new phenomenon, but group gifting via the Internet is. As the Internet continues to redefine out lives on a daily basis, it is significant that gifting has emerged as viable e-trend. Though Facebook and Twitter enjoy the lions share of the traditional medias attention, it should be noted that other web-based movements are in full swing. The chief among these movements is e-gifting.

Let's consider a new Mac Powerbook. These finely crafted laptops tend run in the range of $2000. That's what most people make in a month -- if they're lucky these days. But, asking a group of people to gift together reduces the out-of-pocket costs dramatically. With 12 people involved, that $2000 square of fine leather only costs each person $167. Better yet, get 20 people on board and everyone only needs to pitch in about $100.

Gifting, handled by professional sites, sends an email to everyone who may care enough to contribute to said friend, lover or relation. You designate a gift, in most cases something as extravagant as a new laptop or Coach purse or Armani suit, and then as many people to contribute towards it. It is a relatively straightforward endeavor: you give a gift to a selected friend, lover or relation. The difference is you can give bigger and better gifts than you alone can afford.

Learning Acoustic Guitar: The Parts of the Guitar and Proper Posture

By Scott Forrester

Some people may think otherwise, but in truth learning to play the guitar is pretty easy. The only thing that you need to do is learn where to start, and the proper place to start is by learning the different parts of a guitar. By doing this you will learn the way it works, and then you'll understand the importance of aspects such as string and pick selection. There aren't that many parts in an acoustic guitar, so we'll go over them fast:

1. The body of the guitar is the big part that you need to worry about. This is where the strings are, and it is the largest part. It has a hole in the center which creates the so und that you hear when you actually play the instrument.

2. Behind the pick hand at the end of the body you will find the bridge. This is the area in which the strings are attached to the guitar before making contact with the hole, and making their way up the neck. On the majority of acoustic guitars, you will find that this bridge is composed of wood.

3. Then there is the neck, which is on the other end of the guitar's body. The neck is on the left, and is long and skinny. The guitar strings go from the bridge all the way to the top of the neck to the tuning keys.

4. In order to make different notes and sounds with your guitar, you need to place your fingers behind the frets. The frets are the golden bars running across the neck, and there are normally twenty four of them.

5. The nut is a rather important part, and it is a divider that is placed in between the neck and head. It is grooved and keeps the headstock from moving during play.

6. Next there is the headstock, which is the topmost section on the neck. This is where the tuning keys are situated.

7. What exactly are tuning keys? Those are the metal table located either on the side or the bottom of the head stock, and they are used for tuning the guitar. If the guitar is in tune then it will actually sound right, as opposed to when it is not in tune.

So those are the basic parts of the guitar. After you have learned that you will need to learn to keep good posture while playing, that way your instrument will sound great when you play! Next we will tell you exactly how to accomplish that.

For right handed players: Begin in a sitting position, and raise one of your knees just a little bit. Put the guitar body in such a way that you are holding the neck to the left. Take the neck with your left, and then put the pick in your right. This is a decent posture, and one suitable for playing the guitar. If you need to, you can always use a strap.

If you need to play with your left handed, then just reverse the posture and make sure that you're comfortable. You can sit in any way that you want, so long as you are comfortable and that the guitar sounds right.

Dereon Clothes - High Urban Fashion for Women

By Julian Kwandez

Although there are a lot of rappers, singers, and actors that have a signature clothing line, few have brought the sophistication and sensuality found at the House of Dereon. Singer, songwriter, actress and today mega superstar, Beyonce Knowles, started the company in 2006 with the help of her mother Tina Knowles, a talented seamstress who was responsible for most of the fashion worn by Beyonce and Destinys Child.

It was the buzz around Tina Knowles designs that she created for Beyonce and Destinys Child that gave birth to the idea of a fashion line. Beyonce named the brand after her grandmother, Agnez Dereon, who custom tailored clothing for private clients in Louisiana during her lifetime. Three generations of women contributed to the Dereon clothing look: Agnez, Tina, and Beyonce.

The mix of retro and vintage styles incorporated with modern hip hop influences and elements from Beyonce's Creole ancestry make for a one of a kind line that has quickly resonated with fans and achieved acclaim from fashion critics. Beyonce and her sister, Solange, model Dereon clothing, but Beyonce is more than just a model or figurehead. She also assists and contributes design ideas to the items featured at the House of Dereon.

Plus size women will love Dereon Curvelicious. These jeans will appeal to women with curvier hips and bottoms. The junior line features more moderately priced items for a younger age group.

Bright colors and patterns, studs and luxury materials are used to create a signature look. Boot cut and skinny jeans, printed baby doll tops, cropped denim jackets, hoodies, pencil skirts and jumpsuits are included in Dereon clothing, along with handbags, sunglasses, hats and active wear.

Dereon shoes are multi-toned and ultra feminine, with sneakers, sandals, boots, and stilettos included. Items in the line are affordable for most consumers and are cheaper than designer items found in other top brands. According to Tina Knowles, it was important to keep the prices reasonable for consumers while ensuring quality, luxury, and the couture touch. So if you are looking for a hot new style to take to the street, take a look at Dereon clothing.

Getting the Most from Golf Lessons

By Rhys Jones

It is never easy asking for help, but in golf, it is almost a necessity. More's the pity, we often ask our buddies and partners, whereas in fact, we should be taking a lesson or two with a professional, usually called the Club Pro.

We may think that a Pro would criticize too harshly, but they are honest, positive and usually very helpful.

Golf lessons at the local golf course arent as expensive as you probably think and they are worth it too, because your game will get better more rapidly and cause you less frustration, making the game much more enjoyable for you.

It is of vital importance to be absolutely honest about your game. The Pro will enquire of you what you think you need to learn: driving, chipping, putting or whatever you think you need assistance with.

Listen carefully and follow the Pro's instructions. You may have doubts if the Pro changes your stance, your grip or your swing, but really, the Pro does know best.

Oh and dont hesitate to ask the Pro golfer any questions you may have and dont worry about whether your question or concern may sound silly - theyve heard it all before and will not make you feel like a fool for inquiring. If you dont understand, tell the Pro that you do not understand. You should never leave a lesson with unanswered questions.

For example, a course of lessons might be to concentrate on one thing during a lesson, or on several things. You might start with a lesson on driving; get the grip, the stance, the swing and the follow-through right in one lesson and then practice it 'for real' for a few weeks until you feel that you've got it more or less right. Next time, you might decide you need help with your short game, or putting.

Youve invested in the set of golf clubs and it isn't cheap, is it? So, it doesnt make sense not to learn how to use it to it's best advantage thereby improving your game and abilities, does it?
