To escape from the reality of what we knew, we took a vacation to look for what was once lost - the scene of the coast rapidly approached - The Sunshine Coast.
Years have passed since my feet have set foot on the pristine beaches. From the memories I hold which do not do it justice, it offers more than I remember or have ever imagined. The sunshine which is endless, of course it is a given, which accommodates to all ages and interests.
This year my whole family decided to spend our time at the Noosa. That was a time to remember, and for boys the time of teenage romance. They engulfed their time surfing the curl and showing off their bodies to the teenage girls at the beach. The waves were such a spectacular site; the mounds of sandy castles, we took a multitude of pictures to share throughout the years.
The littler ones loved the time we spent at Underwater World and yes of course we did get a big wet kiss from Maddy one of the seals. Listening to my daughter squeal with delight at being so close to these beautiful animals was truly a moment to remember. Yes we did buy the pictures (at an extra charge I might add - but totally worth it) the look on her face was priceless - definitely a keeper!
My brother and I were able to surpass everybody and sneak onto the regional golf course, not only to play once, but twice! The greens are so pristine and lavish that we were able to play with ease. I guess this wouldn't be sneaking when we opted to go back for a second time. Some of the things that you do with your siblings are so out of character
The boutiques were my wife and sister-in-law's place to meander... along the local shops downtown purchasing souvenirs for our family back home.
The Sheraton Noosa with its rare north beach was the place we decided to lay our heads each night. The rare north beach was protected by the headland and was an awesome area to swim, surf, and spends time with family and friends.
After enjoying a day of shopping the ladies enjoyed the spa treatments that the hotel offered; the children enjoyed the surfing and watching the dolphins off shore. The enormous pool was enjoyed by all, especially the children, many of whom may have left with gills.
With a drink in hand, the sunset was enjoyed at the Noosa River, which was the way most evenings ended on the Sunshine Coast.
To sum up our vacation: * Sunshine * Golf * Shopping * Surfing * Spa treatments * Family interaction
Honestly, everyone had an exhilarating time and their interest were typified by the ultimate vacation destination. Personally this group is not easy to appease and all in all it was a wonderful vacation.
When you are in need of a vacation whether for or a few hours or a couple days with the family just drive your car, and then head down to the Sunshine Coast, "The ultimate place to share with your friends and family".
